Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month – April

Following the British example, we are also joining Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month this April to make the stories of our community more visible. The aim of the month is to draw attention to the diverse reality of limb difference: the challenges, the creative ways of adapting, and the achievements of everyday life – whether in sport, the arts, or education. We believe it is important to strengthen acceptance, reduce uncertainty, and make diversity feel natural through authentic stories, encounters, and shared experiences.

This April, our foundation is taking part in this international initiative with a fundraising campaign. With the support of Gréta Gurisatti – Olympian and the ambassador face of our foundation – you can purchase clothing items that not only represent our cause but directly support our community. Every sweatshirt, T-shirt, pair of socks, or bag purchased helps children take part in our programs and supports their physical, emotional, and personal development.

Our goal this month is to focus attention on children, young people, and adults living with limb difference, as well as on the everyday lives and strengths of their families and our community.

We believe that connection, understanding, and shared experiences help create a more open and accepting society where limb difference is a natural part of human diversity.

Wear something that carries a story. Our shared story.
Make a purchase and be part of it — helping create real opportunities for children: movement, community, experiences, and confidence.
